Sales Team: New Discount Guidelines

To better support our customers and keep costs in check, we’re updating our approach to discounts. Please read and follow these new guidelines.

Discount Guidelines

1. Offer Discounts in This Order

  • First: Try offering a free bottle when a customer buys 3 or more items.
  • If they need more: Offer a 10%, 20%, or, at most, a 30% discount.

2. Maximum Discount Limit

  • Don’t go above a 30% discount.

3. Use Discounts as Needed, Not Right Away

  • Discounts are a tool to help close or save a sale. Don’t offer one right away if the customer already seems ready to buy. Use discounts only if it helps move the sale forward.

4. Keep Costs in Mind

  • Discounts are great for making customers happy, but they cost the company money and they lower your Average Order Value and Commissions. Using them wisely helps keep a balance.

5. Monitoring Discount Use

  • Discount usage will be monitored. Excessive or inappropriate use of discounts may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
