LL - International Customer charged a duty tax by customs
Customs duties and taxes are assessed, generally, if the item sent is dutiable and if the value of the item is above the threshold set by the country's laws. (Each country assesses their own customs, duties, and taxes).
We do our best to avoid our customers having to pay a duty, fee, or tax to claim their package, however, occasionally it can't be avoided.
Issue a partial refund in the amount they were asked to pay
If a customer complains that they were charged an additional fee, duty or tax by their local post office to pick up their package, we will refund that amount from the amount they paid for their product.
**(This means, should they ask for a refund in the future, the total amount refunded would be reduced by this amount).**
All they need to do is send us the receipt, so we can verify the amount they were charged.
Then arrange for a partial refund for that amount.
As mentioned above, this amount is refunded from their order so if they ask for a refund in the future, their order total would be reduced by this amount.
