Dialpad lets you switch a call between devices, all without missing a word. Take a conversation from device-to-device at any time.

Let's take a look at how to switch a call between devices in Dialpad.

Switch to Desktop App

Identify the active call in your desktop app, then select Switch Call to This Device.

Call controls appear in the desktop app as soon as the call successfully switches over.

You can immediately continue the conversation without the caller knowing a switch occurred.

Switch to Mobile App

Identify the active call in your mobile app, then select Switch to This Device; choose Carrier or HD Call (if given the choice).

You can immediately continue the conversation without the caller knowing a switch occurred.

Switch to Deskphone

Switch an active call to your Obihai and SIP devices. Let's take a look at the steps for each.

Obihai Devices

  1. On your Obihai device, press Take Call
    1. If you're using an Obi300 adapter, pick up the handset and dial your 10 digit Dialpad number (you'll hear ringing twice before the call switches)
  2. Active call is now being handled on your Obihai device

SIP Devices 

  1. Dial your Dialpad personal number (area code included) on your SIP device
  2. Active call is now being handled on your SIP device

To move the call back to the desktop, open your desktop app and click on your caller's name under Active Calls. On the screen that appears, click Switch Call to this Device.
